Aufgaben

Carl Zeiss Meditec AG enables medical professionals worldwide to improve the lives of their patients in ophthalmology, microsurgery and other medical growth sectors. With our proven medical technology and application expertise, we are driving standards of care. Together with our colleagues in locations around the world, we work every day to achieve this goal.

We are looking for an expert for the following tasks:

  • technical responsibility in development projects in the field of intraocular lenses (IOL)

  • support existing products in technical issues throughout the life cycle and support approvals in international markets

  • analyze product requirements in coordination with the product management and create functional specifications

  • identify trend-setting innovations with creativity and flair

  • working in close cooperation with the project manager and within an interdisciplinary team from development, product management, regulatory and clinical affairs, engineering and purchasing to turn your ideas into successful products


Profil

  • very good degree in physics, mechanical engineering, medical technology or a comparable course of study with a focus on optics and optical technologies

  • experience in experimenting theoretically and practically with new ideas and solution approaches, ideally with verifiable references, e.g. in the context of a doctoral degree

  • knowledge of an optical design software, such as Zemax, would be an advantage

  • fluent written and spoken English and a desire to work in international teams

  • strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as a systematic and goal-oriented approach to problem solving

  • a high degree of creativity, initiative and willingness to take responsibility
